Jacob Wondergem is geboren in 1966 te 's-Heerarendskerke (Zld) als jongste van 4 broers en 2 zussen en is verder opgegroeid in Vlissingen. Muziek heeft altijd een zeer belangrijke rol in zijn leven gespeeld. Ondanks dat hij pas op 32 jarige leeftijd actief met toetsen spelen is begonnen was hij toch altijd al breed actief met muziek en geluid bezig. Na een sterke ingeving is hij in 1998 gestart op keyboards waar hij al snel eigen muziek voor begon te schrijven. In 2002 is de definitieve overstap naar piano gemaakt en tot op heden studeert hij (sinds 2004) klassiek piano (Max Crabbendam, Sunghee Jo) Hij is woonachtig in Oss (NB), is getrouwd en heeft twee zonen en drie dochters.

Zijn grootste inspiratie bronnen zijn Felix Mendelssohn en in het bijzonder Frederic Chopin. In zijn muziek en composities vind hij een diepe verbinding en identificatie. Pianisten van invloed in van de tegenwoordige tijd zijn Chad Lawson (US), Galya (FR) en Judy Esther (HG), hun spel en composities staan aan het begin van zijn eigen stijl. Dit is het vermengen van hedendaags spel met klassieke invloeden uit de Romantiek welke een verrassend en kleurrijk klankpalet aan pianomuziek oplevert.

Na diverse moeilijke periodes in zijn leven is het Christendom zijn anker geworden. In het voorjaar van 2018 is het debuutalbum 'King is coming' in eigen beheer online gekomen. Na diverse singles is eind 2022 de EP 'Dawn' online uitgebracht en in het voorjaar van 2024 is de EP 'Ballet of Life' online uitgebracht.

Jacob Wondergem was born(1966) and raised in the Netherlands (Flushing). Music has always played a very important role in his life. After a strong premonition, he started out on keyboards in 1998 and wrote his own music from the start. In 2002 a definite switch to piano was made and he is studying classical piano to date, currently at Muzelinck Oss (Sunghee Jo). He lives in Oss (NL), is married and has two sons and three daughters.

 He is highly inspired by Frederic Chopin and Felix Mendelssohn. Especially Frederic Chopin in which his compositions he finds an admiring aspect and profound identification. He admires both Chopin and Mendelssohn due to their fabulous harmonic skills and creativity in composition and timbre. Composers from the present times who are of influence to him are Chad Lawson (US) and Galya (FR), Judy Esther (HG). They all cleared his path of composition and style. His style is merging classical and contemporary influences into a surprising and refreshing palette of timbre and piano sounds.

After several difficult periods in his life Christianity became his anchor. In March 2018 the debut album: 'King is coming' appeared independent online. After releasing several singles the EP: 'Dawn' was released end 2022. Spring 2024 the latest EP: 'Ballet of Life' was released.
