Summer 2024,

Beloved,
Thank you for wanting to be part of my journey called Jacobs Wonder at the beginning of a summer time that will hopefully be one of relaxation and reflection.

Many beautiful things are still happening in life. Despite these challenging times in which so much has changed and is uncertain, that we sometimes have to make more of an effort to see it that way. I too have been confronted with setbacks and loss lately. Processing this also brings healing aspects. I try to reach for balance and a positive approach every day because life is worth it, because God is good and remains the same. We have today and may (forgive), love and cherish in it.

In May, the EP Ballet of Life was released on the music services, they are 4 pieces that I am proud of and that I think are timeless and remain worthwhile. It is also my first professionally mastered EP (Maria Triana) with a fantastic result. The sheet music of three pieces is also on the website. I have tried to express the motivation and idea behind this EP in a blog that can be found on the website.

I have made it to the second live audition round of the TourMusicFest. This is a European music competition in which I participate in the piano discipline. It is a fantastic and educational experience with many nice and interesting people within the field. There are again various live events on the program, such as the 'Ossenacht' festival on November 16. The plan is also to do more live performances at some inspiring locations during this period. More news about this will follow on the website.  I have been included in the WorldWideMusic directory. This is a platform (US) that facilitates and sponsors independent artists. There is also an interview on this platform that offers an overview and nicely reflects the current insights.
